The scientific publishing program at Carnegie Museum of Natural History was begun in 1901 under the guidance of Andrew Carnegie. Today, Carnegie Museum of Natural History produces three publication series. Bulletin of Carnegie Museum of Natural History contains papers of monographic length or collections of related papers from symposia, etc. It has been published irregularly since 1976.

The Bulletin of Carnegie Museum of Natural History has been inactive since 2009.
